The League of Arab States (LAS) will host the annual board meeting of the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (Aroqa) tomorrow (July 1) at the headquarters of its General Secretariat in Cairo.
The meeting aims at reviewing the most important developments and achievements and setting up a future strategy in light of the success realized since Aroqa’s establishment.


Aroqa is an international non-for-profit independent association established in Belgium in 2007 with the objective of raising the quality of education in the Arab world.


In the field of partnerships and international relations, the organization signed different cooperation agreements with educational organizations having interest in promoting the educational quality in the Arab countries, regionally and internationally.


This includes agreements with the Education Directorate at the League’s General Secretariat, Jordan Higher Education Accreditation Commission, Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) in addition to others.


Moreover, the organization has started assisting a number of the higher education institutions in the Arab countries to establish quality assurance systems in addition to providing quality assurance programs according to the international quality standards.


Furthermore, Aroqa acts as a consulting entity in qualification and capacity building in quality assurance in education and academic excellence in a number of educational organizations in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain among others.
To promote awareness and capacity building in the field of quality assurance in education, Aroqa organized conferences, seminars and workshops which mainly address quality and accreditation.
