TAG-Org and ACC Sign Cooperation Agreement for Teaching Chinese language
AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and Chairman of Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) HE Mr.
Issa Haider Murad signed cooperation agreement aims at benefiting from the services of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius) by organizing Chinese courses for all traders and businessmen in the Kingdom.
In the presence of the cultural Counselor at the Chinese Embassy, a group of ACC’s representatives and representatives of trade sector, the signing ceremony included awarding the shield of the distinguished economist to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh as a tribute to his integrated efforts to serve the local economy.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh thanked ACC Chairman, stressing that the Arab-Chinese ties are deep-rooted and back to more than 2000 years, but they deepened in the last few years.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh referred to the tremendous results of the last visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II to China, particularly in signing key investment agreements for Jordan.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh added that cooperation between TAG-Confucius and ACC is an initial step towards
institutionalization of the relationship between institutions of private sector and civil society in order to achieve the economic benefit at micro and macro levels based on the directions of HM King Abdullah II.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his appreciation to ACC for improving the skills of traders in learning Chinese language which is considered the top business language in the world.
Mr. Murad said “Since ACC is an active partner in economic development; it is seeking to provide knowledge and expertise to its members and local society in a view to enhancing productivity and turning challenges to opportunities”.
He added “Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh maintained long-lasting relationships with all world countries and headed the most credible institutions which are attempting to achieve economic added value for all economic sectors through optimal exploitation of resources”.
“Exchange of experience among working institutions in the economic sectors and achievement of full integration contribute in empowering individuals and institutions in all economic and social areas and improving their potentials to make accomplishments,” he pointed out.
Haider Murad emphasized that enabling Jordanian traders to speak Chinese will facilitate direct communication with supply chains in China, allowing effective negotiation process and making best deals in terms of quality and price.
He also stated that signing the cooperation agreement aims at enabling trade sector to work optimally, particularly in light of opening up to the Chinese Economy, one of the world large economies, which provides key investment opportunities to Jordanian trade sector.
It is worthwhile to mention that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute was established in September 2008 to promote learning Chinese language and culture in Jordan, reach a better mutual understanding between Arab and Chinese cultures.
This is a one-of-a-kind initiative based on the cooperation agreement between Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and the Confucius Institute of China (for learning Chinese language).
