TAG-Confucius Institute Achieves Good Results in the 2022 “CI Moments” Global Short Video Collection Event

On September 27, the 2022 “CI Moments” Global Short Video Collection Event sponsored by Chinese International Education Foundation (CIEF) reached a successful conclusion. The nursery rhyme with gesture dance “The Fox Brags” of TAG-Confucius Institute (TAG-CI) won the Third Prize and Viewers’ Choice Award, the song “Together for a Shared Future” won the Merit Award and Viewers’ Choice Award, and TAG-CI won the Excellent Participating Group Award. 

Lasting 172 days, this event included three theme sections: “Confucius Institute Moments” “Chinese Language Moments” and “Cultural Moments”. 

Starting on April 8 when the event was launched, TAG-CI had organized the teachers and students to design, rehearse, shoot and edit the videos. TAG-CI submitted two videos: “The Fox Brags” in “Chinese Language Moments” and “Together for a Shared Future” in “Cultural Moments”. After preliminary evaluation by experts, the two videos were both selected in Top 100 works in the world. After public vote and experts’ re-evaluation, “The Fox Brags” won the Third Prize and Viewers’ Choice Award for Aqsa’s excellent performance, which was the second consecutive year that Aqsa won this honor. The theme song of Beijing Winter Olympic Games “Together for a Shared Future” performed by four students won the Merit Award and Viewers’ Choice Award as well. TAG-CI won the Excellent Participating Group Award for two consecutive years.

It is known that a total of 496 videos participated in this event from 119 Confucius Institutes in 68 countries. The award-winning videos in this event will be continuously broadcast on the global portal of the Confucius Institute (https://ci.cn).
