‘Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute’ Organizes 'Educators Delegation to China' Program
AMMAN - Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius), in cooperation with the Chinese Language Education Foundation and Shenyang Normal University (SNU), has organized the “Educators Delegation to China” program for the first time after the (COVID-19) pandemic. The 2024 delegation included ten principals and representatives from both the public and the private sectors in Jordan.
The one-week “Educators Delegation to China” program organized by the Foundation hosted university presidents, school principals, and those who play a significant role in developing education. The program gave the participants a brief on the Chinese language and culture to maximize the benefits of the Chinese education experience through workshops, training courses, and field visits.
University President, Dr. Yang Song, welcomed the Jordanian delegation in the presence of the University Vice President, Dr. Tong Yuping, and President of the International Education Faculty, Dean Mr. Zang Wai.
She also expressed her pride in the partnership between the University and TAG-Confucius and highly commended the efforts of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG-Confucius Institute chairman, in enhancing relations and cooperation between the two parties, affirming that many of the TAG-Confucius Institute students were awarded scholarships to study at Shenyang University.
For his part, TAG-Confucius Institute Executive Director and Head of the Jordanian delegation, Mr. Mamoun Abu Al Sebaa`, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the University for the hospitality and generosity the Jordanian delegation received. He also expressed his pride in the partnership between the Shenyang Normal University and TAG.Global dating back to 2008. He pointed out that this partnership is significant since it is the only partnership in the world between the Chinese government and the business sector.
He also stressed Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh's keenness to consolidate the relationships between the two sides through concluding new partnerships in various fields for achieving the "Belt and Road" initiative, which serves as the cornerstone of the existing cooperation.
The delegation attended several lectures at the University; discussing China’s national conditions, China’s basic education, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tea ceremony. The delegation also toured the Imperial Palace of Shenyang, Liaoning Provincial Shiyan High School, the Forbidden City in Beijing, and the Great Wall of China, in addition to the premises of the Chinese Language Education Foundation in Beijing.
