TAG-Confucius Teachers Participate in the 3rd Chinese Teaching Seminar in Jordan

 

AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius) participated in the 3rd Chinese Teaching seminar held under the patronage of the Chinese Embassy in Jordan at Philadelphia University. 

 

The seminar was attended by Mr. Yang Ronghao, Cultural Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in Amman, twenty Chinese teachers from TAG-Confucius Institute, as well as participants from the University of Jordan, Confucius Institute at Philadelphia University, Jordanian Army Foreign Language Institute, Islamic Educational College and Mashrek International School.

 

    The participants discussed the basic and important qualities that overseas Chinese teachers must have, the problems and solutions in teaching Chinese, teaching methods and strategies, Chinese proficiency tests and cross-cultural communication in addition to others.

 

    Yang Ronghao said in his summary that overseas Chinese teachers should give priority to improving the quality of Chinese language teaching, to give more attention to political, economic, educational, cultural and social development in Jordan, to thoroughly understand the importance of cultural exchanges and strengthen solidarity and cooperation among teachers to be good ambassadors of Sino-Jordanian educational and cultural exchange.

 

    The Chinese teaching seminar covered a wide range of topics that aimed at effectively promoting the development of Chinese language teaching in Jordan.
