Ibn Katheer School Visits TAG-Confucius Institute

Students enjoyed a day experiencing the Chinese culture and traditions through documentaries and several lectures by TAG- Confucius professors

AMMAN------April 2, 2012-------- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG- Confucius), the official testing center for China's Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi/the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) hosted a group of students from the Ibn Katheer School.1

Students enjoyed the day experiencing the Chinese culture and traditions through documentaries and several lectures by TAG- Confucius professors.

Ibn Katheer School's Headmistress Ms. Amal Bourshek expressed her happiness to have her students indulge in this amazing culture which is also part of their class study on China.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tareq Hamad, TAG- Confucius director said:"We are happy to have Ibn Katheer School students and their teachers experience the wonders of China's traditions and culture. Students will use TAG- Confucius facilities to help them in their studies and reports."

The visit comes as part of TAG-Confucius strategy towards schools in the Kingdom to introduce them to the Chinese culture, language and traditions

About TAG- Confucius
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute was established in September 2008 to promote the Chinese language and culture, in order to reach a better mutual understanding between Arab and Chinese cultures. This is one-of-a-kind initiative based on the cooperation agreement between Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and the Confucius Institute in China. The Institute was named after Confucius, the world-renowned great thinker, educator and philosopher in Chinese history. Confucius' thoughts have influenced China and other areas in the world for nearly 2000 years.
