Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute Participates in China’s Summer Student Camp

BEIJING ---September 7, 2015 –--- Fifteen students from the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG- Confucius) have recently participated in the summer camp of the Chinese Confucius institutes organized in China.

The program of the summer of camp consisted of two stages; the educational and cultural courses of the Chinese language at Shenyang University, and the second is the touristic phase which included visiting renowned archeological monuments, like the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, the Olympiad Palace, and the Summer Palace of Beijing.

At Shenyang University, TAG-Confucius students sat for the HSK test and achieved high scores. They also participated in the assigned activities.

The University Vice-President Professor Li Tiguin voiced his proudness of the cooperation agreement between the University Administration and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org). He also expressed his gratitude to the TAG-Confucius for its efforts in promoting the Chinese language and culture.

The program was concluded by a grand ceremony with the participation of several international centers where the activities of Talal Abu Ghazaleh Confucius Institute were the most prominent ones resulting in high interaction by the audience.

Dean of the International Faculty of Education at the University Professor Zang Wi said that the TAG-Confucius Institute has a special standing and respect from at the University Administration.

At the end of the ceremony, the certificates were distributed to the participants, they then headed to Beijing to complete the summer program by a visit to the archeological monuments.

Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute was established in September 2008 to promote the Chinese language and culture, in order to reach a better mutual understanding between Arab and Chinese cultures. This is one-of-a-kind initiative based on the cooperation agreement between Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and the Confucius Institute in China. The Institute was named after Confucius, the world-renowned great thinker, educator and philosopher in Chinese history. Confucius' thoughts have influenced China and other areas in the world for nearly 2000 years.
