AMMAN -------February 5, 2013------ Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius), the official testing center for China's HSK examinations (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi), will celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 7th, 2013 at the premises of TAG – Confucius Institute in Amman.
The ceremony consists of various Chinese cultural activities including Chinese traditional songs and performances, painting, Chinese calligraphy and costumes, Chinese musical instruments as well as an exciting session of Chinese cuisine.
Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most important celebration in the Chinese calendar. The Spring Festival celebrates the start of new life.
The event is open for public from 4pm till 9:30pm. About TAG- Confucius Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute was established in September 2008 to promote the Chinese language and culture, in order to reach a better mutual understanding between Arab and Chinese cultures.
This is one-of-a-kind initiative based on the cooperation agreement between Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and the Confucius Institute in China.
The Institute was named after Confucius, the world-renowned great thinker, educator and philosopher in Chinese history. Confucius' thoughts have influenced China and other areas in the world for nearly 2000 years.
