Abu-Ghazaleh Tackles Knowledge Tsunami at University of Jordan

 Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pleasure in establishing a fully functional knowledge center at the Faculty of Law as an extension to Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Center which serves more than 40,000 students. The new center will be equipped with the latest technologies and modern communications with a digital library10

AMMAN-----November 29, 2012-------- Upon an invitation by the Faculty of Law at the University of Jordan, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) delivered a lecture entitled "Attorneys and Law Students in the Face of Knowledge Tsunami" held at the Faculty of Law main auditorium.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pleasure in establishing a fully functional knowledge center at the Faculty of Law as an extension to Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Center which serves more than 40,000 students. The new center will be equipped with the latest technologies and modern communications with a digital library.

In his speech, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said:" “We are trying to be with you in building the world of future and we must work together in transforming the Arab world into a knowledge society. We are facing a tsunami that will sweep away everything including jurists and we shall be ready, as it is no longer possible for future lawyers to fulfill their duties if he did not acquire knowledge of human power."

He added that according to studies, in 2050 and as a result of the so-called Artificial Intelligence smart tools will help humans to become smarter and that is how singularity will be born between man and machine.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh highlighted the cooperation between TAG-Org and the University saying:"Since 2006 we have been organizing Moot Court competitions and we are working on allocating job opportunities to graduates inside and outside the Kingdom based on our MoU with the Faculty of Law."

Meanwhile, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Tariq Al-Hammouri  commended the cooperation between TAG-Org  and the University of Jordan saying:" If every nation has its intellectuals Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh might be one of the most important intellectuals in our nation for what he accomplished for youth and education."

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh met with Dr. Ikhleif Tarawneh, president of the University of Jordan and discussed with him future cooperation in various fields.
