TAG-Org and Faculty of Law/UJ Sign MoU to Establish TAG-Knowledge Center
According to the MoU, the two parties agreed to establish Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Center at the Faculty of Law equipped with the latest technology for education purposes and also they agreed to organize training courses especially in the ACPA program
AMMAN-------November 28, 2012--------Talal Abu-Ghazaleh organization (TAG-Org) and the Faculty of Law at the University of Jordan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate in the fields of training, education and in the pilot project for the development of the Faculty of Law.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Tareq Hammouri, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Mr. Motasem Dmour, executive director of the Arab Society for Intellectual Property (ASIP) in the presence of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and Dr. Ikhleif Tarawneh, president of the University of Jordan.
According to the MoU, the two parties agreed to establish Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Center at the Faculty of Law equipped with the latest technology for education purposes and also they agreed to organize training courses especially in the ACPA program accredited by both Jordan University and ASIP in addition to legal courses and Talal Abu Ghazaleh Cambridge IT Skills Diploma
Also, the two parties agreed to hold joined legal courses abroad and to focus on the Arab market, reinforcing the participation of the academic staff of the Faculty of Law by publishing specialized legal articles in ASIP journal or TAGlegal journal.
They also agreed to maintain granting the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Award for the excellent graduates of the Faculty of Law.
Dr. Tarawneh stated that according to the CSR of TAG-Org, the group is responsible for serving non-profit national organizations in addition to our joint responsibility as a university and a global group, as we are obliged to enhance all areas of training and consultation and to implement a comprehensive training program.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pleasure and satisfaction of the signed MoU with a prestigious university which is a source of pride for every Jordanian and Arab, and which has graduated tens of thousands of students who became state officials and held high ranking positions in the government. Abu-Ghazaleh also reaffirmed his wish to reinforce the cooperation and communication with the university in all common areas of specialization.
"We will establish a comprehensive knowledge center on campus which is going to be equipped with the latest technology and information programs including an e-library that permits students to log into libraries all over the world. We are also going to coordinate with the Faculty of Law to host quantitative and qualitative training courses that grant those who pass accredited certificates, in addition to teaching English language for attorneys and law students.
From his part, Dr. Hammouri expressed his happiness of joining hands with a global organization which has 40 years of professional experience in various fields.
