AMMAN-----November 26, 2012------ Students of Umniah and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh MBA Scholarship Initiative were honored during a special ceremony held at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business (TAGSB).
The ceremony was attended by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, president of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University (TAGIUNI) and Mr. Ihab Hinnawi, CEO of Umniah who congratulated students on their efforts and success.
The ceremony comes as a result of the agreement signed by Umniah and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge) that extends academic scholarships to outstanding TAGSB students thus helping them obtain their Master's degree in any specialty offered by the TAGSB. TAGSBs advanced academic curricula rival those offered by top international business administration colleges such as Harvard University and Canisius College.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said:"The Master's program of TAGSB is unique and the first to be accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBBA). We look at our work with Umniah as a model that assists and supports Jordanian youth."
FIBAA granted the TAGSB a five-year accreditation to its MBA program with concentrations in: Marketing, Accounting, Management, Banking and Finance, Quality Management and Human Resources Management.
Meanwhile, Mr. Hinawi said:" We are committed to supporting youth and students to whom we belong and we will always strive to provide them with the skills needed to enter the work market as productive individuals capable of contributing to our countrys progress. This partnership represents one of the many initiatives that we support and will continue to maintain. This platform will offer the right knowledge for our future leaders while nurturing their creativity; and it will build an economy based on innovation which will differentiate us ".
Hinnawi added: In general, the private sector prioritizes initiatives and activities based on the directions set by the government, which is driven by the strong belief of complementing the public sectors role to achieve national goals. This stems from the objective of being a socially responsible contributor having a positive impact in Jordan.
It is worth mentioning that Umniah and Talal Abu Ghazaleh are pioneers with impactful projects in the field of community development reaching out to all sectors with a special focus on youth. Both entities have proven to be responsible with several initiatives implemented over the past years.
