TAG-Confucius Becomes an Official Testing Center for Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK)
AMMAN----March 14, 2012-------- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG- Confucius) has been approved as an official testing center for China's Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi or the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK).
The HSK is an international standardized exam that tests and rates Chinese language proficiency. It assesses non-native Chinese speakers abilities in using the Chinese language in their daily, academic and professional lives. The new HSK consists of a writing test and a speaking test, which are independent of each other. There are six levels of writing tests, namely the HSK (level I), HSK (level II), HSK (level III), HSK (level IV), HSK (level V), and HSK (level VI). There are three levels of speaking tests, namely the HSK (beginner level), HSK (intermediate level), and HSK (advanced level). During the speaking test, test takers speeches will be recorded. Mr. Zhang Chengyu, TAG-Confucius Dean said: "In response to the high demand for learning Chinese, TAG-Confucius has signed an agreement with Han ban to become an official center for the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK). We are proud to be one of the institutions around the world and especially in this region to offer a range of courses in Chinese which cover basic, intermediate and advanced levels." Mr. Zhang Chengyu added:" Chinese language has become one of the major attractions for the young generations who have seen an opportunity to learn the language of one of the big players in the global economy."
According to TAG- Confucius, the next exam is on April 14th, and the deadline for the online registration is on March 15th. If anyone is ready to take the exam in April, he/she should visit the institute before March 12th, and he/she will be assisted with the online registration, and TAG- Confucius will arrange for a free introductory and training sessions before the examination.
About TAG- Confucius Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute was established in September 2008 to promote the Chinese language and culture, in order to reach a better mutual understanding between Arab and Chinese cultures.
