TAG-Confucius Institute Wins Top Award in the First International Chinese Language Education Case Contest on Arab Countries
Recently, the results of the First International Chinese Language Education Case Contest on Arab Countries have been announced. Dr. Yang Songfang, Chinese Director of TAG-Confucius Institute (TAG-CI), won the Grand Prize, while teachers Zang Xiaonan and Zhou Tong each received the Second Prize.
Guided by Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of China, the contest was organized by Liaoning Provincial Education Association for International Exchange and hosted by Shenyang Normal University. It aimed to encourage international Chinese language educators to summarize teaching experience, innovate teaching methods, enhance mutual exchange and learning, and promote the high-quality development of Chinese language education in Arab countries.
Under the leadership of Dr. Yang Songfang, TAG-CI team actively participated in the contest and carefully refined their cases, which covered teaching practice, cultural promotion, and teaching resource development. The entries closely aligned with the realities of Chinese language education in Jordan and the wider Arab region, fully demonstrating the Institute’s achievements in teaching innovation and localization and providing valuable insights into the development of Chinese language education in Arab countries.
The awards not only highlight TAG-CI’s innovative practices and professional strength in international Chinese language education but also reflects the team’s educational philosophy of rooting locally and integrating globally. Building on this success, the Institute will continue to deepen teaching research and cultural exchange, contributing to the vigorous development of Chinese language education across the Arab world.
