TAG-Confucius Institute Invited to Attend National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival Reception Hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Jordan

On September 29, the Chinese Embassy in Jordan hosted a National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival reception. More than 300 attendees gathered together joyfully for the celebration, including Mr. Gong Anmin, Chargé d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Jordan, embassy diplomats, overseas Chinese in Jordan, teachers, students, compatriots from Hong Kong and Taiwan, and staff from Chinese enterprises in Jordan. Dr. Yang Songfang, Chinese Director of TAG-Confucius Institute (TAG-CI), attended the event with the teachers of TAG-CI upon invitation and presented a wonderful stage performance.
In his speech, Mr. Gong warmly welcomed everyone “home.” He reviewed the remarkable achievements China has made over the 76 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, noting that 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
He emphasized that all Chinese people should remember history, carry forward the great spirit of resistance, and unite in striving for the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. He expressed gratitude to the overseas Chinese community in Jordan for their contributions to the exchanges and cooperation between China and Jordan in various fields.
He encouraged everyone to continue leveraging their unique advantages as bridges between the two cultures, serving as vital links in the friendly cooperation between China and Jordan. He also hoped that everyone should uphold both their own image and China’s image through concrete actions, and extended his warm festive wishes to the guests present.

Director Yang Songfang and the teachers of TAG-CI passionately presented a poem recital with music entitled “Moonlight over the Silk Road, Hearts Tied to China” as the opening performance. With heartfelt verses and touching melodies, the recital conveyed deep affection for the motherland and blessings for Chinese people worldwide, earning warm applause and strong resonance from the audience.
That evening, the guests also enjoyed instrumental music performance, dance, songs, etc., while also enthusiastically participating in riddle-guessing games, which filled the venue with a joyful festive atmosphere.
The reception concluded with a dinner, where participants shared friendship and expressed best wishes for the prosperity and strength of the great motherland, national peace and security, and family reunions.
