Dr. Yang Songfang is honored with “Medal for Long Service as a Confucius Institute Director”
On September 25, Dr. Yang Songfang, Chinese Director of TAG-Confucius Institute (TAG-CI), was awarded the “Medal for Long Service as a Confucius Institute Director” by Chinese International Education Foundation (CIEF).
Since assuming the role of Chinese Director in March 2015, Dr. Yang Songfang has dedicated herself for ten years to advancing the development of TAG-CI in areas including Chinese language teaching, cultural exchange, academic research and community service, achieving remarkable results.
This award not only serves as high recognition of her long-term commitment and exemplary contributions to the Confucius Institute, but also highlights the important role of TAG-CI in deepening China-Jordan friendship and promoting mutual learning between Chinese and Arab civilizations.
Established in 2021 by CIEF, the “Medal for Long Service as a Confucius Institute Director” aims to express gratitude and respect to Confucius Institute directors who have made lasting contributions to international Chinese education.
