TAG-Confucius Institute attend 2018 Spring Festival cultural performance

 

    On February 5, 2018, the Chinese cultural performance was held at the Royal Cultural Center of Jordan under the patronage of Chinese ambassador to Jordan Pan Weifang to celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival, which was co-sponsored by Ministry of Culture of China, Chinese Embassy in Jordan, Ministry of Culture of Jordan and Amman Municipality. 

 

More than 600 people including the cultural counsellor of Chinese embassy in Jordan Yang Ronghao, the assistant secretary of Ministry of Culture of Jordan Rashad, Director of Cultural Bureau of Amman Samir, Chairman of Friendship Association between Jordan and China Damour, the administrative staff and students of TAG-Confucius Institute, Jordanian people from all walks of life and some Chinese people in Jordan, etc. attended the performance. 

 

Addressing the event, Chinese ambassador to Jordan Pan Weifang expressed his New Year’s wishes to the guests. He said China-Jordan ties have witnessed increased cooperation in the fields of education, culture and economy. 

 

He added that the agreement on establishing a Chinese cultural center in Jordan has been signed recently between the governments of the two countries. After the cultural center is open, it will provide a broader platform for the cultural exchanges between the two countries and colorful cultural events will be held. 

 

Chinese embassy will make continuous efforts to promote the bilateral ties between China and Jordan.

 

 

    The shows included traditional Chinese dance, acrobatics, puppet show, Sichuan opera face changing, musical instrument playing, etc. performed by the artists from Chengdu Tianfu Cultural Troupe and won the applause from the audience. 

 

 

    The Spring Festival cultural performance let Jordanian people experience Chinese art closely and brought them sincere New Year’s greetings and blessings.
