TAG-Confucius Organizes a Chinese-Arabic Food Tasting Day
AMMAN – January14, 2016 - Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute organized an Arabic-Chinese tasting day at the Institute’s headquarters in Amman as part of its cultural activities with a special focus on the Chinese culture and civilization.
The event witnessed the participation of students representing various educational institutions and fans of the Chinese culture in addition to representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Amman headed by the cultural Attaché Mr. Nie Guo Anmi A host of Arabic and Chinese specialties were prepared in front of the interested audience in addition to chopsticks training.
Chinese cultural Attaché Mr. Nie Guo Anmi” expressed his thanks to the Institute’s leading role in establishing relations between the two nations, pointing out that conducting such activities make us feel that Chinese and Jordanian nations are one family.
He stressed on the importance of the Institute's role in spreading Chinese language and culture, through organizing various educational activities.
TAG-Confucius
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius institute was established in September 2008 to promote Chinese language and culture in order to reach a better mutual understanding between Arab and Chinese cultures. This is a one-of-a-kind initiative based on the cooperation agreement between Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization and the Confucius Institute of China.
The Institute was named after Confucius, the world-renowned great thinker, educator and philosopher in Chinese history. Confucius’ thoughts have influenced China and other areas in the world for nearly two thousand years.
