Confucius Institute Cooperates with Amman Academy to Launch Chinese Language Courses
On January 7, Mr. Mamoun Abu Al-Sebaa, Local Director of TAG-Confucius Institute (TAG-CI), Dr. Yang Songfang, Chinese Director of TAG-CI, and Chinese teacher Mr. Su Hanyuan were invited to visit Amman Academy (AA), where they met with Ms. Katea Al Tal, Head of the Language Teaching Department of AA.
Building on prior communication, the two sides held in-depth discussions on launching Chinese language courses and successfully reached an agreement. Starting January 12, TAG-CI will officially offer Chinese courses to five Grade 11 classes at AA. In addition, both sides reached a consensus on future cooperation in areas such as HSK tests and China-visit programs.
AA is a well-known international school in Jordan and a leading institution in IB education. It has long been committed to nurturing young students with a global vision and outstanding academic abilities. The school implements bilingual English–Arabic instruction and provides a complete IB curriculum from kindergarten through high school. With its excellent academic achievements and extensive international partnerships, AA continues to expand its multilingual education and cross-cultural exchange programs.
The launch of Chinese language courses in cooperation with TAG-CI will not only provide Amman Academy students with high-quality Chinese education, but also further enrich the school’s language curriculum, empowering students to step onto a broader international stage.
