TAG-Confucius Institute Holds Chinese Proficiency Test
On March 22, TAG-Confucius Institute (TAG-CI) successfully held the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK), covering HSK levels 1 to 5 as well as the HSK Speaking Test for primary, intermediate and advanced levels. A total of 64 students participated in the test.
To ensure the smooth running of the test, TAG-CI held a pre-test work meeting to coordinate all arrangements. The teachers were assigned clear responsibilities and worked collaboratively, providing pre-test guidance tailored to students of different levels, helping them familiarize themselves with the test procedures and important considerations, while patiently addressing their questions and concerns.
On the day of the test, the teachers and students arrived at TAG-CI an hour earlier. Identity verification was conducted through facial recognition, supplemented by manual checks, ensuring that the test was organized in a standardized and orderly manner. During the test, students remained calm and focused, demonstrating excellent composure and a positive spirit.
After the test, many students expressed their sincere gratitude to the teachers for their careful guidance and to the Confucius Institute for its thorough organization. Some students shared their hope of achieving excellent results in order to apply for the annual International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship program.
Notably, during the HSK Level 3 test, there was a special student named Mohammad Mousa, who attended the test in a wheelchair. Upon learning of his situation, Chinese Director of TAG-CI, Dr. Yang Songfang, coordinated with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) to set up a wheelchair-accessible ramp at the entrance and arranged a convenient and comfortable test seat for him.
The student’s determination and effort deeply moved the teachers present. On one hand, they were inspired by his perseverance in overcoming physical challenges; on the other hand, they felt more vividly the appeal of learning Chinese, which continues to motivate more learners to overcome obstacles and pursue their dreams.
TAG-CI will continue to provide high-quality Chinese language teaching and test services, supporting learners in their academic development, career planning and opportunities for studying in China.
