TAG-Confucius Institute Holds “Happy Chinese New Year” Cultural Event at Asamiah International School

On February 3, Amman TAG-Confucius Institute (TAG-CI) held a vibrant “Happy Chinese New Year” cultural event for the kindergarten teachers and students of Asamiah International School. Dr. Yang Songfang, Chinese Director of TAG-CI, teaching staff of TAG-CI, Kindergarten Principal Ms. Farah Noureddin, and more than 80 teachers and students from KG2 grade participated in the event.
The venue was decorated in a festive and joyful style. Red lanterns, Chinese knots, hanging ornaments created a strong festive atmosphere.
The event featured a wide range of engaging activities, including an introduction to the Chinese New Year (also known as the Spring Festival) traditions, a themed animation screening, horse coloring, paper-cutting, Tai Chi experience, creative red envelope making, traditional Chinese costume experience, and personalized badge design. Through lively explanations, video presentations, and hands-on interactive sessions, TAG-CI brought the warmth of the Spring Festival and the charm of traditional Chinese culture to the Jordanian campus. Children experienced the unique appeal of Chinese culture in a joyful atmosphere and embarked on a fascinating journey of cultural exploration through interactive learning.
By integrating the Spring Festival culture into fun and immersive experiences, the event enabled the students of Asamiah International School to experience traditional Chinese culture up close, deepening their understanding of and interest in China. 
At the conclusion of the event, Principal Farah Noureddin presented a commemorative shield to TAG-CI teaching staff to express her sincere appreciation for their dedication and excellent program delivery. 

She also expressed her hope to introduce the Spring Festival cultural activities as a regular annual program, allowing more teachers and students to experience the unique charm of the Spring Festival. In addition, Dr. Yang Songfang and Principal Noureddin held discussions on the future introduction of Chinese language courses at the school and on further strengthening educational cooperation between the two sides.
