He also called all community segments to support the Palestinian people, particularly in the technology and knowledge fields
AMMAN ----- July 23, 2013------ The International Arab Society of Certified Accountants (IASCA), announced the renewal of the scholarship provided by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of the Society, to accountants and new graduates in Palestine.
HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that the scholarship is renewed to support the steadfastness of this great nation in the face of the occupation, and to emphasize their right to learning and development. He also called all community segments to support the Palestinian people, particularly in the technology and knowledge fields.
He also added that this scholarship is a continuation of the earlier one launched by IASCA for the people of Palestine in 2001 and 2006. The scholarship aims to support this dynamic professional sector of the Palestinian economy and to highly qualify the largest number of accountants. Under such scholarship, students shall set for IACPA examination for nominal fees, while IASCA shall bear the remaining fees paid to the University of Cambridge.
The International Arab Society of Certified Accountants (IASCA) was established on January 12, 1984 as a non-profit professional accounting association in London, UK. It was formally registered in Amman on February 24, 1994. IASCA aims at advancing the profession of accounting, auditing and other related disciplines on the international level. IASCA also aims at maintaining the professional independence of Arab accountants and their protection, as well as the application of professional supervisory measures as a way to elevate the professions of accounting and auditing.
IACPA qualification has been accredited in several Arab countries; including Lebanon, UAE, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Qatar, Sudan, Libya and Oman, where IASCA is one of the professional accredited associations for auditing. In addition, IASCA is a member of several international professional bodies, including the International Accounting Standards Board, the International Federation of Accountants and the International Committee for Accounting Education and Research.
