TAG-Confucius Institute Promotes Chinese Language and Culture at Al-Bayan School
 
On Nov. 15, TAG-Confucius Institute held two promotion sessions on Chinese language and culture for secondary school students and primary school students respectively at Al-Bayan School. More than 100 students and teachers attended the promotion sessions.
Director of TAG-Confucius Institute Mamoun Abu Al-Sebaa’ gave a brief introduction to TAG Organization and TAG-Confucius Institute and encouraged the students to learn Chinese because China’s rapid development in economy, industry and technology will bring more opportunities to foreign people who know Chinese. 
Chinese Director of TAG-Confucius Institute Yang Songfang first talked about the importance of the Chinese language in the world today in terms of the number of Chinese language speakers, China’s development, over 5000 years of civilization of China, and the mystery of the Chinese language itself. Then she briefed the key programs of Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban in China and focused on the introduction to summer camp to China, Confucius Institute scholarships and Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK). After that Yang Songfang presented many beautiful pictures on Chinese language teaching and cultural events held by TAG-Confucius Institute through PowerPoint. 
The students showed great interest in Chinese language and culture and discussed some relevant questions with the two Directors and the assistant Director Randa Al-Yabroudi of TAG-Confucius Institute. 
The promotion sessions aimed at giving the students an opportunity to know about and increase their awareness of Chinese language and culture, and attracting more people to learn Chinese to promote cultural exchanges between China and Jordan.
