TAG-Confucius Introduces Papercutting and Folding Activities for Kids


AMMAN-, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius) introduced kids to the art of Chinese papercutting and paper folding. 
Participants learned to fold and cut paper and to transform their work into art and objects such as planes, boats, boxes, birds, fish, etc.
In China, folk arts and crafts have a long and rich history. Usually there are some variation between provinces, papercutting and paper folding fall into folk arts and crafts, which wide spread and represent the Chinese people’s traditional culture and daily activities. 
The introduction of such activities helps students learn more about Chinese culture and makes Chinese learning easier and more enjoyable for children.
